Product Quality Engineer

Join an innovative technology company developing complex electronic products used in highly regulated environments. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Product Quality Engineer to work closely with R&D, influencing product quality from initial concept through to launch and ongoing product support.

You'll play a key role in ensuring hardware and software designs meet quality, reliability, and compliance requirements while collaborating across engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams to drive continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Partner with R&D to ensure quality is embedded throughout the product development lifecycle.
• Review electronic designs, schematics and PCB layouts to identify quality and reliability risks.
• Lead design risk assessments (DFMEA) and support root cause investigations.
• Support new product introduction (NPI), verification and validation activities.
• Assist with supplier and component approval processes.
• Analyse product and test data to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
• Support hardware and software testing from a quality perspective.
• Work with Production, Test and Process Engineering teams to resolve product-related issues.
• Ensure compliance with quality standards, design controls and traceability requirements.
• Participate in design reviews, audits and continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• Degree in Electronic, Electrical, Software or a related Engineering discipline.
• 5+ years' experience in Product Quality, Design Quality or R&D within a regulated industry.
• Experience working across the full product development lifecycle.
• Ability to interpret electronic schematics and technical documentation.
• Knowledge of DFMEA, risk management and root cause analysis techniques.
• Understanding of embedded systems, firmware or hardware/software integration.
• Experience working to ISO 9001 or similar quality standards.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work across multidisciplinary teams.
